About
I am surprised that in about one year's time, I created a Teachers Pay Teachers store, a YouTube channel, and a blog all while going to graduate school and raising my two wonderful children! My husband deserves a lot of credit for helping me and the family along the way!
A Little About Me...
I have been a teacher for over ten years. For the past ten years I have been working in a small charter high school in Northern Minnesota. Over the course of my professional career, I have taught most courses under the realm of the social sciences. Currently I teach World History, Geography, European History, Economics at three different levels ranging from fundamentals to regular, to Advanced Placement/College in the schools. I also teach AP Psychology, and four different CITS history electives (The World Wars, America's War in Vietnam, Contemporary World History 1945-Present, and Minnesota History).
I graduated summa cum laude from the College of Saint Scholastica in 2006 with a bachelor's in History and another bachelor's in Social Science Secondary Education. I returned to Scholastica and graduated with a Master's in Education in 2015, also attaining a Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology. More recently I attended Minnesota State Mankato and earned a Graduate Certificate in History.
After college I worked as an educational tour director, taking middle school and high school students to the East Coast or to Europe for educational travel. I still take my students on a yearly trip to Europe and find that international travel is an important experience in the life of a teenager. If you ever have any questions about student travel, be sure to email me!
